Vertex HD package includes efficient tools to design intelligent hydraulic diagrams. Software also includes a comprehensive design data management and archiving.

  • symbols include the necessary connection points, interfaces, codes, unit codes, and additional information about the devices
     
  • pipes and tubes are linked to symbols of the connection points of the device. Pipes and hoses can be given individual IDs, and illustrate the characteristics of data.
     
  • all the elements of a diagramcan be connected  to exact component list,  which can be used to produce BOM (bill of material)
     
  • in multiple-page diagrams references from a pipeline ranging from one page to another is made automatically

Design Data Management

Vertex HD  contains a database package providing a variety of  features to managedesign data. A powerful and flexible multi-user relational database with table formatting, processing, relations and reports are user definable.
 
The information in the Vertex  database can be flexibly transferred to other databases, spreadsheet programs, and storage mediums. Vertex HD archiving functions enable easy management of documents at project, drawing, sheet  and revision level. Documents can be found in the archive directly by the document symbol or by using flexible search tools.

The whole diagram can be divided into several pages, which will facilitate large-scale plans and documentation.

Drawings can be transferred to an external document or product data management  (DM / PDM) system using different viewing formats, or they can viewed with a  free Vertex Viewer viewer software. Complete documentation of a machine can be a combined package with electrical and hydraulic documents, which has also references and links between those.

  • component data can be retrieved from item database or from external systems

     

Connections to other systems

  • external databases can be used like Vertex database using ODBC connection. Alternatively, component and design data can be transferred to other programs with a database transfer

  • listings produced from diagrams produced can be transferred directly to Excel ™ tables

  • graphics can be transferred to other image formats such as DWG and DXF.

  • PDF books with TOC can be produced from  the project. These include the selected drawings with sheets and Vertex references are links between pages. PDF file may also include PostScript prints from other programs
