ED Basic application
VERTEX ED basic application contains a complete diagram application with symbol libraries. The systems always contains archive functions with which documents can be managed at a project, drawing, sheet and sheet revision levels.
Basic application also includes Electric Drives application, Product Configurator and Application Development Tools.
Support to the several commonly used graphics and text formats and different kinds of database links makes flexible connection to the other information systems possible.
DIAGRAM APPLICATION
Diagram application contains powerful tools to produce intelligent diagrams. The cross references between the diagrams are produced automatically based on a database based archiving system. There are also several tools to automatically produce for instance necessary device, cable and wiring lists.
ARCHIVING
VERTEX Electrical Engineering documents are managed with the archiving tools. Documents can be found directly with the document number or documents can be search with the given search conditions.
ELECTRICAL DRIVES APPLICATION
With the Electric Drives application the design of the electrical drives is made by using device selection lists and type diagrams which are based to the databases. Application supports parallel design: for instance cable and IO connection information are automatically completed to diagram when needed.
PRODUCT CONFIGURATOR
With the help of the Product Configurator tools the different variants of the regular products which depends on the order information can be added to the drawing documents.
The so-called product model which has been created can be used to automate order planning and documentation.
The information needed for the product model is added to the order information. After that the Product Configurator automatically produces documents of the product model which are in accordance with the order information.
APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
VERTEX Application Development Tools can be used to supplement, to edit and to automate the properties of the basic systems.
Application development tools can be used to process databases, drawings and text documents and to transfer information between these.
